I few years ago my sister introduced me to a chore planning system called Motivated Moms. I’ve been using it for the past couple of years and it’s worked pretty well. Not because the plan isn’t working…but because THIS motivated mom had a hard time sticking to the plan and staying motivated. With a new year starting today, I’m starting again. I’m determined to use this outline to help me keep my household in order, remember appointments and keep to my grocery budget by planning out our meals ahead of time.
In the past I’ve used the weekly planner, where it shows everything you need to do for the week and you just check it off. I’ve kept it in a binder and just put the binder on my kitchen counter to refer to.
This year I’m using the daily planner. Instead of keeping the binder on my counter, I’ll print out a week at at time and stick the daily list to my refrigerator.
One of the things like I like best is that it adds in time for hobbies and pampering yourself. It also reminds me to do things that I forget about….wiping down light switch plates, yeah, I’d never remember that! So each day, you have a list of things that you should complete daily and then there is also another list of things that will be completed weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly. You have a space for your dinner planning, a few extra places to add your own daily things to do and a “notes” space.
The chore planning charts are $8.00, and you download it to your computer and print it out as you choose. Like I said before, I print out a week at a time. 🙂 Also, I found a coupon code for $1.00 off if you enter HAPPY in the coupon field. I’m not sure when it expires so if you want this…I say go for it now! 🙂 They also have an App for your phone if you have a smart phone and prefer to do it that way.
Wish me luck! Hopefully this will be just one more way to help me keep on track this year!
