Baking soda breaks down really well and helps break down any build up that may be in the lines. I've never had an issue with putting it in the detergent spot and I've been doing it for years :)

I usually do this with a clean towel (one that has been washed because it seems I usually notice the smell after it's washed and just doesn't seem as fresh as I would want) wash first, then baking soda, then vinegar - which is why it doesn't happen weekly (and doesn't need to either!) Thank you!!!!

Hi, I know this post is old, but I’m in need of reviving my towels! Are these the only steps you take to clean the towels? I mean, after using them, you wash with baking soda and vinegar and you’re done? No laundry detergent used at all?
Thanks
