Talon’s 2017 Senior Photos

We teamed up with Shutter Lush Photography for Talon’s Senior Photos and we love them!  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you follow us on social media I’m sure you’ve seen me whining about having a child graduating high school this year.  It has seriously been taking a toll on my heart.  I can’t figure out where the last 18.5 years have gone but they have flown by and graduation coming up has made that glaringly obvious which has me trying to get a lot of things done and at the same time sitting here stunned that this time is upon us.
One thing that didn’t make me sad was having his senior photos taken.  Shutter Lush Photography took his photos and since we did them over spring break we decided to take advantage of the empty school and we headed over to the high school and I swear magic happened.  I love every single photo Paige took and had the hardest time picking which ones to print and which ones to put on his graduation announcements.
I love photography and I love photos, I love candids and I love staged photos.  Paige did such an amazing job at keeping Talon relaxed and laughing throughout the whole photo shoot that there isn’t a fake/forced smile in the whole set and there are so many photos, she just kept clicking away for the entire hour and we got everything we could have ever wanted in senior photos.
I was surprised, shocked even, when people started responding on the social media sneak peeks “these are awesome I never thought of doing senior photos at the school”.  That was so strange to me, I have always thought of senior photos as something that is taken at the school, it just seemed natural to me for us to go there for his senior photo shoot.  If you’re doing senior photos I highly suggest taking a look around your high school and consider doing the photos there, I love that they capture exactly where they are in life right now.
Another set of “must have” senior photos you should make sure and get are ones that highlight their sports or any clubs they are in.  I had Talon grab all of his lacrosse gear and I’m so glad I did.  This photo is probably his favorite of the whole set.  Again, showcasing exactly where he is in life right now.
Paige has an amazing eye for detail, I love this photo below and how Talon is standing in a way that still allows you to see the RHS on the window behind him.
And take a look at that top photo, she used the S of the RHS for him to sit on which is pretty cool since he’s a senior, it quickly became one of my favorites.
While we were doing the photos I noticed some of the track team going in and out of the school.  I took a chance that the doors were unlocked because I thought it would be really cool to take some photos in the halls, by the lockers, and stuff.  Imagine my happiness when we walked in and the Silverwolves banners were lining the hallways.
There you have it, a handful of photos that are some of my very favorites.  Paige at Shutter Lush Photography did such an amazing job capturing Talon exactly as I see him right now and I will forever be grateful to have these senior photos to document this stage of his life.
