1. With Cricut Design Space for Desktop you can download images and fonts.  You can save them to your computer to use anytime, even without internet access.
2. Search is better than ever.  Design Space search has been updated so you’ll be able to find the perfect image easier than ever.
3. You never need to see “plug-in” again!  New features and fixes will be rolled out to Cricut Design Space for Desktop automatically so Design Space will always be up to date.
4. With Design Space for Desktop you can work on multiple projects at once.  Cut on one screen and design in another.  You can even work with multiple machines at once.
5. We’ve saved the best news for last!  You can now design and cut offline!  This is a feature Cricut users have been asking for for years and we’re so glad it’s finally available.

Can I still use Design Space Online?
As of January 29, 2020 the Design Space web-based program will be going away.  It will no longer be available for use.

What will happen to all of my projects?
Great news!  When you login to Cricut Design Space for Desktop all of your projects will be there just like they were on the web-based program.

Do I have to use Cricut Design Space for Desktop?
You will need to download Design Space for Desktop if you want to use a computer to design and cut.  You can always use the Design Space app if you don’t want to use a computer.  Speaking of the Design Space App…

What does this mean for the App?
This new program will have no affect on the Design Space App.

YES!  Cricut Design Space for Desktop is free to use.

Do I need internet connection to use Cricut Design Space for Desktop?
Technically Design Space is still connected to the internet.  You will need to be connected to the internet to access Ready-to-Make projects, project sharing, and community features.  You do not need internet access to design or cut.  Once you have a project, image, or font downloaded to your computer you can use it to create all the projects you want.
