Paula and I recently had our DNA test done…good news!! We’re Irish! Our love of St. Patrick’s Day is literally in our blood. I made this fun St. Patrick’s Day Wood Sign with my Cricut machine to celebrate our newly discovered heritage!

Do you love St. Patrick’s Day? I just think it’s so fun! From Leprechaun traps to all the green food…what’s not to love?
Since we moved to the farm I’m enjoying our new porch. It’s larger than our last porch and it’s so fun to decorate for different holidays. I needed a sign to go on my table so I created this St. Patrick’s Day wood sign and it turned out even better than I had hoped.
If you’re ready to make your sign, grab your supplies and watch the video tutorial linked below for each step in the project.
St. Patrick’s Day Wood Sign Supplies:
To make a St. Patrick’s Day wood sign exactly like the one I made you’ll need the following supplies:
Wood – I used a 1″ x 8″ common board you can purchase at your local home improvement store. My board is cut to 12″ long. If you don’t have a saw I know Home Depot and Lowes will cut your boards down for you right there in the store so you can come home with them ready to go.
Stain – I used Minwax Dark Walnut stain, it’s one of my favorites!
Cricut Machine – for the size sign I made you will need either a Cricut Explore machine or a Cricut Maker. If you want to resize and make it smaller this can also be made with the Cricut Joy.
Cricut Cut File – this is the file I used
Premium Vinyl – Permanent – I used White
Sparkle Paper – I used the green from the Spring Meadow pack.
Standard Grip Transfer Tape – make sure you are using Standard Grip Transfer Tape, it has the grey grid.
Art Glitter Glue – this is THE BEST glue when using any type of paper. It dries clear and quickly and adheres so well.
Now that you have all your supplies gathered you’re ready to make your sign. Watch the video below to find out how.
We hope you like this project and are excited to make one for yourself. If you love your Cricut machine join our Cricut Facebook group – Cricut Help and Inspiration.
