Uplift Families

Paula and I are honored to be partnering with Uplift Families this year.
As I’ve been learning about the Uplift Families Vision I have found myself more and more excited about being a part of this wonderful program.
Mrs. Herbert has made it her mission with the Uplift Families program to:
Strengthen Parent-Child relationships
Provide tools and resources that improve parenting skills and
Help children make safe and healthy choices

The first thing Paula and I got to do as a partner with Uplift Families was to attend a luncheon with the other partners and Mrs. Herbert at the Governor’s Mansion.
It was wonderful to meet Mrs. Herbert and I was genuinely touched with her sincere commitment to improve families starting here in Utah.
She shared this quote from Lyndon B. Johnson that I loved so much and whole-heartedly agree with that I just had to share it here too.
“The family is the cornerstone of our society. More than any other force it shapes the attitude, the hopes, the ambitions, and the values of the child. And when the family collapses it is the children that are usually damaged. When it happens on a massive scale the community itself is crippled.”
I am looking forward to working with Mrs. Herbert and the other Uplift Families partners to help bring the focus back to the families.  The influence this group has is can help bring about so much positive change, I’m so glad to be a part of it.
Paula and I will be sharing more about Uplift Families including more about the upcoming Uplift Families Parenting Conference, we’re both so excited to attend, keep an eye out so you can join us.
