Candy Cane Valentine Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comHello!!!  Are you having a great day?  I sure hope you are.
Are you ready for one more Valentine inspired candy cane treat?
I think these Candy Cane Heart Suckers just SCREAM Valentine’s Day and I think you’ll love how simple the whole process is.

Ingredients:
Mini Candy Canes
Pink Melting Wafers
Sucker Sticks
Sprinkles
Preheat oven to 300°
Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comLay out candy cane and sucker sticks on parchment paper as per photo above.  You’ll want the parchment paper on a cookie sheet (I used a baking stone).  Place in oven preheated to 300° for 3 minutes.  You’ll be surprised at how bendy the candy canes become.  3 minutes was plenty of time in my oven for me to be able to pinch the top of the canes together and the bottoms to the sucker stick.  Make sure you don’t leave them in too long, you want to be able to bend them not have them melty.

Once you have them pinched together let them cool.  While they’re cooling melt your pink chocolate as per package instructions.
Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comSee how they’re pinched together at the top and bottom?
Once they’re completely cool fill with the pink chocolate.  I found this easy to do by putting the melted chocolate in a plastic bag and snipping a hole in the corner.  A frosting bag would work just as well.
While the chocolate is still warm sprinkle with toppings of your choice.  I used red and white little balls.
Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comOnce again, let cool completely.  Once cooled you can package however you’d like.  I put them in clear little bags and think they look so cute like a little Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker bouquet!
Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comWhile these are pretty dang cute all on their own I’ve got a way to help you make them even cuter if you decide to give them as a little bouquet like I did.
Using full sized candy canes, warm in the oven like these and then use them to spell out words!
Valentine Candy Cane Heart Sucker - housewivesofriverton.comSuch a cute addition to the Candy Cane Heart Suckers!
