Ruffle Cakes

The fabulous Paula has perfected the ruffle cake. I am hoping she’ll have a tutorial for us very soon but until then I had to share the cakes she’s created over the last week.

The babies celebrated their 1st birthdays and of course that had to include a party.

Before the party we did the smash cake photo sessions. That was her first opportunity to practice on the cakes and since they were just going to be smashed they didn’t *need* to be perfect…but perfect they sure were!

The aftermath.

For the party we had a very large variety of treats (cookies, cupcakes, a couple varieties of actual cakes, candy, etc…). Paula made more smash cakes for the actual party. They turned out so cute and were the perfect size for their single candles and for them to enjoy.

I’ll make sure she shares all her tips and tricks for the perfect ruffles AND we’ll be sharing a whole lot more of the treats we had at their birthday. It was a joint effort for sure and we’re so lucky to have so many great friends to help us out!
