While I have been loving gardening this year, my flower pots and window boxes are all doing wonderfully and my garden is growing well I have not been brave enough to try my hand at live plants inside my house. I feel like I might almost be ready to start but I’m not there yet so I have been finding new ways to bring “flowers” into my home.
Sometimes fake flowers look excessively fake, we’ve all seen them…but sometimes fake flowers maybe don’t look completely real but look pretty.
My friend Jessica from MommyMakesThings shared a photo on her instagram recently of her mantle and she had these darling vases filled with baseballs and flowers and I knew I needed something like it in my home.
I love when Hobby Lobby has their floral stems for 50% off, even when I’m not shopping for a specific reason I love to walk the isles and see what they have. The best advice I can give when shopping floral stems is to play with the flowers while in the store. Use your hand as the vase (or bring your vase with you) and try different things.
Here is the collection I put together for my All American Floral Arrangement. A few old baseballs, a tall glass vase, spillers, fillers, and thrillers (a tip I learned when doing my pots of real flowers), and floral tape.
I don’t have a specific tutorial for how I put the All American Floral Arrangement together because it was a lot of trial and error, I played with the flowers and kept arranging and rearranging them until I had them just how I wanted them. Once I had them just right I used the floral tape to bind them and lock them in place. The baseballs help hide the stems and add a whole lot of All American to the arrangement. I had a bunch of sticks (decorative sticks, they kind of twirl at the top) so once I had it all together I used a few of them to give some more height to the arrangement.
The stems all had to be cut quite a bit shorter to work with the vase, because the stems have wire you’ll need some nippers or wire cutters to cut them. I big heart eyes love the old beat up baseballs, I’m on the hunt for more to use in my summer decor (time to let the boys beat up a whole lot of new baseballs).
I’m in love with how this turned out and how it looks on my shelf with my other 4th of July decor.
Star Banner and Land That I Love Wood Sign are from the target dollar spot ($3 and $5 I believe are what I paid and they were unfinished so I painted them). Tiny wreath I picked up in an antique store in Indiana. Firework Angela made for me once upon a time (we should do a tutorial on that asap because it’s cute and anyone could make it!).
I hope you love my All American Floral Arrangement as much as I do and that if you make one you’ll share your results with me here.

I never thought I would love a flower arrangement incorporating baseballs, but I do! It is unique, I have never seen anything like it before. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you so much, I absolutely love how it turned out. Apparently baseball truly is All American!
can you tell me the dimensions of the vase?
