So, Paula and I have been missing for a couple days and I have to say I’m not very sorry about it because we had THE best time. We headed up to Idaho for a girl’s only crafting weekend that also included seeing Elton John in concert. I cannot wait to share the projects we did while we were there (they’ll be coming up this week and next) but I wanted to give you a quick sneak peek at the fun we had!
The first thing we did was months ago we bought tickets to go see Elton John, then we broke up into groups and each group came up with a craft for everyone to do. We wanted the crafts to be something that could be completed during the weekend so we all set off to come up with the perfect craft. The next step was coming up with the perfect hashtag to represent the weekend – #CraftingWithEltonJohn was born. I came home with 4 (in a way, you’ll see) 5 completed projects and I love them all, I think you will too!!
So here is a very VERY quick recap in pictures and I’ll be back soon to show you each of the projects and how we did them!
We took a picture of the pre-crafting projects.
We took possibly the only photo we have of us all together.
We ate Junk food – it is a necessity right?
Sometimes we took silly photos at about 2am. (Crafting sneak peak!)
We partook of Dutch Bros deliciousness (salted caramel hot chocolate….YUMMY!)
We crafted some more.
We got all spruced up to see Elton John.
We ate a delicious pre-concert meal.
Some of us wore pants that are sure to never see the light of day again.
We sang our hearts out with Sir Elton John.
We were sad when the concert was over but smiling because he sang for a solid 150 minutes!
Some of us watched the second half of the Utah game and stressed out big time! #GoUtes!
And somewhere around 1:30am we decided to watch a movie.
Sunday was a bit more relaxing with an Ableskiver breakfast and eventually we had to get on the road to head home.
We packed a whole ton of fun in our quick weekend get away and are already looking forward to 2016’s event.
I cannot wait for you to see all the cuteness we came up with this weekend, you’re gonna LOVE IT!!!

Hi there, just came across your blog today. Love the #craftingwitheltonjohn pics. Looks like yall had a great time! I live in a small town and I have always wanted to join or put together a craft group. Who doesn’t need girl time?! I have searched around my area and no craft groups exist and if they do they are hidden away very well : ) Anyway, love your blog, love the pics and recipes. Keep up the great work!
Mari
Thank you so much Mari for coming by the blog. I would suggest starting your own craft group if you can’t find one. You could start with one or two people and I bet you’ll be surprised at how quickly word spreads. For this crafting weekend we drove 5 hours and it was totally worth it. I’m so happy you are loving the blog, we’re doing our best to make it worth your time to come visit us! Have a fantastic weekend and happy crafting! ~Jenn
