I have spent the last few weeks reorganizing my office/craft space.
One of my goals was to build myself a wrapping station. I had pinned as part of my craft space design a wrapping paper holder, and decided to make my own version!
I already had a frame which I spray painted black. I took a trip to Home Depot and purchased a box of hooks. I also purchased 9 dowels. Keep in mind, you will need to purchase fairly heavy dowels to hold the weight of the wrapping paper rolls.
To assemble the wrapping paper holder you will need a drill and drill bit to drill pilot holes for your hooks. The size of drill bit will depend on the size of hooks you purchase. Just make sure it will drill a snug hole that will allow the hook to be screwed in and grasp the wood.
You will need to find your starting point by feeding a dowel through a roll of wrapping paper and finding the natural resting place on your frame. This will be different for each frame. Measure both sides to make sure your first pilot holes are level. From there I measured two and a half inched down and continued until you reach the natural bottom of the frame. Do this for both sides.
Once all the pilot holes are drilled, screw a hook into each hole.
You will then be able to load and store all your wrapping paper!
I also installed this great utility bar from IKEA. There are several styles to choose from, and several accessories to use! I purchased a few hooks to hang wrapping items from, and a hanging shelf to hold scissors and tape.
Before putting this together it was a pain to wrap presents. This organized space now makes it enjoyable and fun to wrap presents!
