When Jenn made her super awesome Fall Acorn Wreath, I knew I needed something to spice up my door for Fall too! And let me tell you the disappointment from my boys that I wasn’t doing an Acorn Wreath was severe!
Instead…here is what I started with…
I used a 14.5 inch wreath form and 1 skein of I Love This Yarn! in Autumn Stripes. Now just start winding! I did not want my wreath to be in “stripes” I wanted all of the colors to be mixed in so I didn’t line it up.
Here we are, almost halfway done!
Finished! Now if you are H, you think this…
is what the wreath is used for. ๐ Next I added my my pretty Fall foliage!
I like how the layers came together.
And the finished product on my door! You don’t get a picture of the WHOLE door cause it’s getting painted this week! ๐ But once that project is done…I promise I’ll share.
So the total cost of my wreath was
Wreath form – $7.99 -40% off = $4.79
Yarn – $3.99
Yellow foliage – 3.47 – 40% off = $2.08
Pine cone foliage – $3.99 – 40% off = 2.39
Berry foliage – $4.99 – 40% off = 2.99
Total Cost – $16.24 + tax
I was very happy with the outcome and definitely happy with the price of my pretty wreath. I did buy an “I” initial to put on the wreath, but I still haven’t decided on it yet. I like it but I’m not sure if I like it on the wreath. ๐
