Impromptu family photos on Easter
We kind of neglected the blog the last few days but we’ve had a whole lot of fun.
Spring break fell over Easter weekend so the kids all had Thursday through Monday out of school. It also happened to be General Conference weekend so we had a lot of family time. I loved it.
Thursday I was mean mom, I put the kids to work doing a whole lot of things around the house that had been recently neglected with our crazy busy schedules. That opened up the rest of the weekend for fun.
Friday we went to the zoo, it had been a while and although it was a bit busy it wasn’t crazy and the weather was perfect to see lots of animals.
Saturday was filled with Easter egg hunts, conference sessions, coloring Easter eggs, family dinner, and the traditional Priesthood session root beer floats! The kids really couldn’t complain.
Sunday we woke up to presents from the Easter Bunny, perfect weather for one last outside Easter egg hunt all done in time to sit and enjoy the last 2 sessions of General Conference. Once conference was over we headed to Grandpa and Grandma’s house for Easter dinner and took advantage of their photogenic porch to snap some updated family photos.
It will be nice to update the pictures on my photo collage wall.
On Monday {after a bit of house cleaning} I took the kids who had gotten some Easter egg hunt money to see the new Cinderella movie. It was great to finally get to see it. I was so glad to not have to rush the kids back to the school routine on Monday. One extra day was so nice!
We’ve got some fun things coming up on the blog. I’m not going to lie, the current schedules are making it hard to find time to do simple things like make dinner, crafting seems to be a thing of the past but I’m hoping to get back on top of things and baseball is only like what 7-8 more weeks! Forgive me (us) if we’re a bit scatter brained for the next little bit!
