I wanted to share a few of my Halloween decorations with you! I love Halloween and think it is such a fun season to decorate for.
I made this trick-or-treat banner a couple of years ago and am happy that it is holding up so well. Since I made it a couple years ago I don’t have a picture tutorial to share but I can tell you how I did it.
The strung black/orange Styrofoam balls are covered in glitter and strung on I think like fishing line. I tied ribbons on both ends. The balls I am pretty sure were already strung and glittered in black and orange when bought.
Each piece of paper is about 4″x4″ and I used an ink pad to distress the edges. Stampin up has this great tool called a “stamp-a-ma-jig” that made putting the orange stamp in the middle perfect so that is how I did the orange stamp.
The letters were cut out of black glittery paper using the big shot die-cut machine.
I used a hole punch to put holes in each upper corner of the paper and then used orange ribbon to attach it to the….I guess you could call it like a garland.
Then, it was easiest for me to just count each little ball to make sure things were centered and hang accordingly.
This is what my mantle area looks like right now.
The Halloween subway art I bought at the wood connection and put it on a piece of wood I already had that my brother in law cut down for me (since Nate was out unsuccessfully hunting). It has a really cool feature I’ll show you soon! The little witch I made a few years ago at a super Saturday.
These both I bought many years ago and I just like them still
The cute little ghosts my Mother in law gave me and the BOO blocks I made a couple years ago at a Super Saturday. They were one of the projects I was in charge of showing people how to do and I love them. The little “Happy Halloween” paper is actually the card I just made for card swap. I liked it and thought it was fun to add to the mantle until I mail it out to someone.
These blocks were another project I was in charge of at the Super Saturday…the colors are off in this picture but they’re very Halloween orange, purple, green and black.
More of my fun mantle – the 9 I will show you more of later.
Another shot of the mantle.
