If you are looking for a delicious and easy salsa recipe, you’re not going to want to miss our homemade Pico de Gallo recipe!
Homemade Pico de Gallo
We eat a lot of salsa in our house. Like A LOT. We have our traditional salsa recipe that we make on a weekly basis.
Sometimes we want something a little more chunky. This homemade Pico de Gallo recipe is super easy and only needs a handful of ingredients.
If you plan on planting a garden next year, make sure you add tomatoes, japalenos, cilantro and onions. You’ll be able to make this pico anytime you want!
Ingredients
Most of these ingredients you will probably already have at home, but here’s everything you’ll need in case you have to add some to your shopping list:
- 5 roma tomatoes
- 1/2 medium white onion
- 1/4 bunch cilantro
- 1 jalapeno
- 1 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Granulated Garlic
Recipe Instructions
First you are going to want to get your tomatoes diced and put in a medium size bowl. I like my tomatoes to be cold when I dice them, for me they dice so much easier.
Next, dice your onion. I prefer to use my chopper, it’s faster and it makes my eyes water much less. Use your chopper to chop the jalapeno, it will make that way easier too.
Add the onion and jalapeno to your bowl also. Chop your cilantro, add it to the bowl and then add your salt and garlic.
Feel free to add more if you prefer. After mixing it all together, I prefer to let it sit in the fridge for a few hours but you can eat it right away.
