With just a few ingredients and a little bit of time you can make our Red Velvet Valentine Cookies for your loved ones.
We’re all about simple desserts these days. Home projects are keeping us from anything too elaborate. The thing I love about our red velvet Valentine cookies recipe is that you can decorate them a variety of ways, make a cute homemade sandwich cookie or decorate with frosting and sprinkles on top.

Are you ready to make your own Red Velvet Valentine Cookies?
Start by gathering your supplies. To make these cookies you’ll need just a few ingredients:
1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix
2 Eggs
1/3 C. Oil
Can Vanilla Whipped Frosting
Valentine Sprinkles
Baking instructions for Red Velvet Valentine Cookies
Mix the following – note the batter will be thick:
Cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil
Form into small balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet or baking stone, and bake at 350° for 8 minutes.
Cool on cookie sheet for another 2 minutes then move to cooling rack.
Now that your red velvet Valentine cookies are baked you can decide how you want to frost them. I frosted some as sandwich cookies and some, more like a traditional sugar cookie. Using Valentine sprinkles is an easy and fun way to dress your cookies up for the holiday of love.
We love Valentine’s Day. While we don’t need an excuse to shower our families with love, a holiday all about love is definitely something to celebrate. We’d love to hear what you do for Valentine’s Day. Do you go out as a couple? Stay home and celebrate as a family? Do you eat a lot of heart shaped red food? Tell us what you do to celebrate in the comments.
