We’ve teamed up with Cricut and some of our favorite blogging friends to show you the 50 projects offered with the new Cricut Maker and because we love this machine so much we’re excited to give one away, keep reading to find out how to enter.
My cute little Lila has been planning a Tea Party for her birthday this coming December, I thought this would be such a cute idea and when I saw all the cute Tea Party projects available with the Maker I knew we could create exactly what she wanted.
For my project I tackled the Tea Party Cupcake Holder. The Make it Now project is for mini cupcakes, since Lila will be turning 7 I know she will want full sized cupcakes so as a prep for her party I messed around with the project to see how I could resize it to fit a full sized cupcake and I found the exact right size.
If you want to create the project as a mini cupcake holder you can find the make it now project here. The great thing about the make it now project is it includes all the instructions for making the project. If you want a full sized tea party cupcake holder you can find my resized project here. You’ll want to go to the make it now project and read the instructions, they are the same for both sized projects.
Tea Party Cupcake Holder Supplies:
Cricut Maker
Fine Point Blade
Scoring Stylus
Light Grip Mat
12×12 cardstock – 2 different colors/prints
hot glue gun or double sided tape
I do love how this cute little Tea Party Cupcake Holder turned out, however, when I make them next time I will choose one of the papers to be a solid. I love the mix of the patterns on the cup, base, and handle but it’s hard to see the detail of the floral cut out having a pattern behind it.
See, they’re so cute they should show a lot more than they do on my finished cup.
Here is an example of how they look with some solid colored papers, aren’t they so stinking cute!?!
Having a December birthday Lila is always excited to have some type of Christmas theme with her parties, this works well for me because then I can use all the decorations around the house as her party decor and it feels so special. I’m really excited and am looking forward to throwing a Christmas Birthday Tea Party for the little princess. I think I’ll start collecting supplies now, it’s going to be so fun.
