Halloween Time at Disneyland 2024

Halloween season at Disneyland Park is full of Halloween fun! It’s a great time of year to visit Disneyland because of all the extra decorations and Halloween spirit! Halloween at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park starts on August 23rd, 2024. You might feel like that is super early to start Halloween at the Disneyland Resort, but it looks like they have taken a page from Walt Disney World starting in mid-August!

What is there to do during Halloween time at Disneyland Park

The main thing you might hear about Disneyland Halloween time 2024 is Oogie Boogie Bash – a Disney Halloween Party. This takes place on select nights in September and October in Disney California Adventure theme park. The party is full of Disney Villains, as well as classic Disney characters who wear their Halloween costumes. But dont’ worry, if you aren’t attending Oogie Boogie Bash 2024, there is still SO much to do! Cars Land at Halloween is amazing with it’s super fun decorations. And Don’t forget about the Plaza de la Familia in DCA where you can see a beautiful Dia de los Muertos display and an awesome musical show! You also can’t miss the Guardians of the Galaxy halloween overlay called Monsters After Dark.

If you have a park hopper pass or are spending a whole day at Disneyland, you can also see the awesome Haunted Mansion Holiday Halloween overlay at the Haunted Mansion. It’s overtaken by fun Halloween characters like Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and many more! Because it’s a great mash up of Halloween and Christmas, it’s open through BOTH seasons! You also get the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular! Halloween Screams is a special fireworks and projections show. On the night where there are no fireworks, you’ll get the Halloween Screams projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, and It’s a Small World! You can check the Disneyland app to see if it’s the full fireworks show or just the projections. Don’t forget to visit the Halloween Tree in Frontierland too. Every year there are also so many new halloween offerings and Halloween treats at Disneyland and California Adventure.
