Summertime is full of birthday parties, barbecues, potlucks, holiday and sports gatherings, etc. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get sick of bringing the same old, same old stuff. If you’re headed to a 4th of July party, our 4th of July Fruit Salad is a perfect side dish to share! It’s patriotically colorful and super tasty too!
4th of July Fruit Salad
3 cups red raspberries
2 cups blueberries
4 apples – cored and chopped (you can peel if you’d like)
1/4 cup vanilla pudding mix
3 tablespoons orange juice
First rinse and drain all your fruit. Next put your chopped apples in a bowl and sprinkle the vanilla pudding over it. Next add your orange juice. Mix this all together carefully until apple pieces are covered. After that, add in your blueberries and your raspberries. Stir all together. Make sure you stir carefully because the raspberries can mash up and break apart. Put in the fridge to chill until it’s time to serve.
You can use any mix of red/white/blue fruit that you’d like. I chose these because it’s a different mix of fruit than what we would normally use. But feel free to use strawberries, cherries, blackberries, bananas, etc. You can customize it to what your family loves best! Enjoy!
