I’m very excited to share with you the bathroom remodel we did over the Holidays. I want to jump right to the finished pictures but to truly comprehend and appreciate all that we’ve done you need to see the before. I keep saying we but Kelly is the master mind behind this project. I’m so lucky to be married to a talented man who is able to do everything and anything needed to bring this bathroom out of the old and into the new. He is so talented in tiling and it was exciting to pick the tile for the shower and floor together and to see it unfold as each day went on. He has already picked up 2 new jobs from showing people pictures of our finished bathroom. Our project is 95% done (I need to order a blind for the window and a few crafty things I’m doing) but I’ve been dying to do a post to show you.
I love before pictures and how bad they can look and believe me I did nothing to help this bathroom look worse than it did. We were dealing with an old time popcorn ceiling, a tiny bathtub and old old old everything.
There was a window that was pretty much in the shower!
The bathroom is a good size bathroom but was filled with large cabinets and counter tops that only took up all the space and were pretty useless.
We completely gutted the whole room down to nothing and had to start over. The only thing that hasn’t changed is were the toilet is located.
Living in an old small house comes with its challenges but we all have different sacrifices that only helps make us better people. Yes, my home may be small and old and I’ve gone through the struggles that come with that but I’ve come to the conclusion that a small old home can be beautiful too.
Here is a sneak peek of the color scheme and a few fun items picked to go into my new beautiful bathroom. Promise me you will come back to see the after you wont believe the transformation.
