Breakfast Banana Splits

By Creative Housewives 1 Comment

When I was in the hospital after having Cole, they had 24 hour room service for the women on the maternity ward.  I could order whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted!  It was AWESOME!  I’m always CRAZY hungry for fruit and fruit juice after I give birth.  So when I saw on the menu, breakfast banana split, I ordered it immediately.  I was not disappointed!  So for a special breakfast for my boys, I decided to make them a yummy breakfast banana split.  Let me tell you, nothing gets kids more excited than telling them they are having banana splits for breakfast. 🙂

The best part about this is you can customize it to your family’s likes.  For this one, I used banana (obviously. :-)) and sliced a canal down the middle of it.  You can also just cut the banana in half lengthwise.  I sliced strawberries in quarters to set in the canal of the banana.  I drizzled vanilla yogurt over the banana and strawberries and then topped with the blueberries and granola.

My family gobbled these up and it was super filling too!  There were definitely no complaints about being hungry.  So make your children’s morning and make them a banana split!  Enjoy!!
