Being the super amazing mom I am, I didn’t realize we were totally out of bread until it was lunch time and the kids were hungry. :-/ I checked out my fridge and three things stuck out to me, a can of crescent rolls, boneless, skinless chicken breasts and shredded cheese. It got me thinking I could just wrap up some cheese and chicken in a crescent roll…easy peasy!
So here is all you need for this recipe…
1 – medium size boneless, skinless chicken breast (if you have left over chicken that you can slice or shred, that would work great too!)
1 – 8 count can of crescent rolls
1/2 cup of shredded cheese of your choice (I used medium cheddar)
Preheat your oven to the temperature on the instructions for your crescent rolls.
Cook your chicken. I used my Round Covered Baker from Pampered Chef. It only took 5 minutes to cook it all the way through and I didn’t have to worry about burning it. 🙂
I also seasoned it with a Lemon Pepper seasoning before putting it in the microwave.
See, super juicy and delicious! Let that cool while you prep your rolls.
Lay out your crescent rolls on a baking stone or cookie sheet and divide the shredded cheese evenly between the rolls.
Slice the chicken breast into 8 pieces and add 1 slice on top of the shredded cheese.
Roll up your crescent rolls from large end to small end. Bake at the designated temperature and add 2-4 minutes on to the baking time. Your crescent rolls should be golden brown on top and bottom. 🙂
Seriously, my whole family loves these! Simple and yummy! Enjoy!
