Christmas Chalkboard Art Inspiration

I know I’m not alone with my love of Chalkboard Art.  I currently have 2 in my house that are pretty large and I love decorating them for the different seasons and holidays.  These two I did for Christmas this year.  I love looking at pinterest for inspiration and then doing my best to make them beautiful and uplifting.  I think it’s an easy and fun way to bring some character into the home and also a way to have reminders for us all to see every day, this time of year especially a reminder of the reason for the season.

I hope you’re all OK with me sharing some of my chalkboard art from time to time.  I’m a prime example of “if I can do it anyone can do it”.  Oh, in case you didn’t know – Home Depot sells sheets of chalkboard.  Both of my chalkboards came from the same piece (they cut it for me) the sheet is 4’x 2′ and only $10.  It was so nice to be able to have them cut it to the right size for my gold frame.  I need to create a nice frame for my other chalkboard, I’m having a hard time deciding what exactly I want though, I keep thinking I’ll find something I love but haven’t yet, I am thinking I am going to have to make something.  Any ideas?  Regardless it’ll have to wait until after Christmas because there are too many other things to do in the next 12 days (12 DAYS…ACK!)
I have a quick chalkboard art tip!  I think chalk itself makes all the difference.  I have tried a LOT of different chalks and without a doubt the very best I have found is from Hazel and Ruby  and comes in this Chalkboard Art Tool Kit.  I am seriously in love with it, it is the smoothest and softest chalk I have ever found.

I need them to sell the chalk by itself because while I love the whole kit I fear I am going to go through the chalk in no time at all.
