Are you as excited about The Peanuts Movie as we are? My whole life I have loved watching all of the Peanuts gang movies and have loved sharing them with my children. I am so excited to be able to take them to the theater to see The Peanuts Movie (coming only to theaters November, 6th 2015). Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn Dogs are making it even easier for you to take your kids to see The Peanuts Movie. Buy ANY TWO (2) specially marked packages of Tyson® Chicken Products or State Fair® Corn Dogs and you can receive up to $9.00 toward one child admission to see The Peanuts Movie Only in Theaters, you will then enter your code into a website to redeem your ticket.
To help get my kids excited for the movie I planned a fun protein powered snacking dinner/movie night. My kids love kid friendly foods and Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn dogs are at the top of their list. We enjoyed It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (perfect for the season) along with Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn Dogs with all our favorite dipping sauces.
If you’re children are anything like mine dipping their food is half the enjoyment of eating (my kids tend to dip things I would never want to dip in anything).
Some of our favorite dipping sauces are Homemade BBQ Sauce, Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sauce, and Homemade Spicy Ranch.
Homemade BBQ Sauce
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder (if you like it spicy add more chili powder)
In a small sauce pan on medium low heat mix ketchup and brown sugar until brown sugar is completely dissolved then add apple cider vinegar and chili powder. This is perfect for our kids because it isn’t spicy, it’s a sweeter bbq sauce and our kids love it. Keep covered in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Homemade Chick-Fil-A Sauce
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons BBQ Sauce
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon mustard
1.5 teaspoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon season salt
2 tablespoons sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Mix well and keep in the refrigerator until served.
Homemade Spicy Ranch Dressing
1 packet ranch dressing prepared as directed
1 teaspoon season salt
2 teaspoons bbq sauce
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (more if you want it more spicy)
Prepare ranch dressing packet and add season salt, bbq sauce, and chili powder. This is a recipe my children love so I don’t make it too spicy, you can definitely make it spicier by adding more chili powder.
I had no problem finding Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn Dogs at my local Walmart in the freezer section.
What is your favorite Peanuts movie? Mine for sure is It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, I look forward to it every year and is one of the first movies I purchased when I had my first child. Also, can I just highly recommend you make our Homemade Chick-Fil-A sauce like right now?…I bet you have everything on hand and you’ll love it! Our house loves Tyson Chicken nuggets too. I cannot wait to try homemade Chuck Fil A sauce, I have nothing to compare it to so I am sure it will be great!
Awesome! That Chik-Fil-A dipping sauce…yay! Tyson is my kids preferred chicken nuggets, too!
