Whether you are celebrating your graduation at Disneyland or you are planning your family at Disneyland, we’ve got all the ins and outs for you on how to plan for being at the Disneyland Resort during Grad Nite.
What is Grad Nite at Disneyland?
Grad Nite at Disneyland is a private after-hours party for 2022 grads! Disneyland welcomes graduates for their own exclusive party on select nights in May and June. This fun tradition started back in the early 1960’s and has been a senior party destination ever since.
What are the dates for Grad Nite at Disneyland?
For 2022, there are several dates in May and June for the Grad Nites.
May 2022 – 13 (Friday), 14 (Saturday), 18 (Wednesday), 20 (Friday), 21 (Saturday), 25 (Wednesday), 26 (Thursday), 31 (Tuesday)
June 2022 – 1 (Wednesday), 3 (Friday), 4 (Saturday), 7 (Tuesday), 8 (Wednesday), 10 (Friday), 11 (Saturday), 17 (Friday)
Do you get a park pass with your Grad Nite ticket?
The Grad Nite at Disneyland ticket is only for the Grad Nite event at California Adventure. They do have three different types of tickets you can buy depending on what you want.
Grad Nite Only $89 – This ticket option is just for the Disneyland Grad Nite Private Party Experience at Disney California Adventure Park. Grads get exclusive access to DCA after 9 pm.
DCA park admission + Grad Nite Party $119 – This option will let you spend the whole day at Disney California Adventure Park and also stay for the Grad Nite party.
Park Hopper pass + Grad Nite Party $179 – For this option, you get a park hopper pass to explore both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure during the day, and then attend the Grad Nite party.

Should you avoid the parks on Grad Nite party days?
There is never any idea of how many grads will be attending and what tickets they will purchase. Also, summer tends to be busy anyway, so in our opinion, we would say to avoid the parks on those days if possible. If one or two of the days of your trip fall during a grad nite party day, that would be a great day to purchase Disneyland’s Genie+ to help not have to fight long lines and get in as many rides as possible. If you purchase your tickets through Get Away Today, you can add the Genie+ with your ticket at purchase. Also, if you use our code Creative10, you’ll get $10 off your vacation package!
It’s also a good idea to plan to rope drop on the day(s) that your vacation falls on a Grad Nite party day. You can do SO much in the first few hours of the day before it gets too crazy. It helps to make a plan, but also be flexible. If the crowds get too overwhelming, you may decide to end your day in the park a little early and take advantage of the amenities back at your hotel.
Planning your Disneyland vacation
It’s always a great idea to check out what events and after-hours parties might be going on during your trip. The Disneyland app is perfect for that! You can see what hours the parks are open, what rides might be closed for refurbishments, and also start planning any Disneyland dining reservations you might want.
