Halloween is such a fun time of year! It’s a great holiday for all ages to enjoy and have fun. I have loved trick or treating my whole life, yep even as an adult. So I was super excited to get to post for Hershey’s and Halloween together!
Having younger children gives me the excuse to get to go trick or treating every year. Before I had kids I probably trick or treated until I was 18 or 19 years old. I was always in costume and loved feeling like a little kid again, going door to door and just having a good time. Now I have the privilege of taking my children around our neighborhood to collect their treats. I do miss getting to be at home to give the trick or treaters who come to my door a yummy treat so I came up with another idea to still share with the kids of our neighborhood.
This FREE printable is a way to let the trick or treaters who come to your door know that you aren’t home but you’d still like to give them a treat. It also gives them a nice reminder to just take one so there is some left for the next group who comes around!
I also created these fun tags to attach to my candy cups.
I loved getting to use the large variety bags of Hershey’s candy. Not only is it all my favorite chocolaty treats, there are also enough to make over 70 of these candy cups! And if you know you’ll have even more trick or treaters than that, you can just put the individual candies in a cute basket for people to take. Here’s how I put together these simple candy treats.
For this you’ll need party favor cups, plastic wrap, ribbon, a hole punch, and a bag of Hershey’s Candy large variety bags.
Put three pieces of candy in each cup, then tear off a 6 inch long piece of plastic wrap. Set the candy cup onto of the plastic wrap and gather your plastic wrap up to the top of the candy cup. It will stick together so you can tie your ribbon and then attach the tag.
Now you are going to need to have a basket to put all your goodies in. I made this cute basket by just using supplies I already had at home! Take any basket in the size that you need, tie around some orange tulle. Next I added a solid black ribbon and tied it on the outside of the tulle. After that I use my black and white striped ribbon and tied it on the outside of the solid black ribbon. I tied the two ribbons together in a bow and added some orange tissue paper on the inside of the basket. It was really easy and made it look super cute!
If you haven’t been to Walmart to check out their awesome candy options, head over! Hershey’s large variety bags are super easy to find. I was able to locate them at the front of the store on a huge display. There were also smaller displays throughout the store near the candy aisle and the Halloween products.
Hershey’s also has a new, orange Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup that says BOO! My kids think they are really cute! I’m so excited for Halloween and to get to share this fun treats with all my trick or treating guests!
I would love for you to check out the Hershey’s Halloween Candy at Walmart and tell me which kind you are handing out on Halloween night!

What fun! Since Halloween is on Saturday this year, I KNOW we will have to leave some of these out! Thanks for sharing! #client
Thank you!
This is the cutest idea! We are taking my son trick or treating for the first time this year so these cups and printable are perfect! The cups would be so cute for a Halloween party too! Now I just need to grab some Hershey’s chocolate to go in them – and maybe I’ll sneak a few too 😉
Thanks Aimee! I thought it was fun and you’re right, the cups would be great for a Halloween party or a class party!
This is such a great idea and one that I need! We are always gone and I feel bad but this is the solution!
