When you’re planning your trip, proximity to the Disneyland Resort is important. But don’t think that you need to be within walking distance to have a great Disneyland experience! We’ve rounded up some of the best hotels that are a bit farther away, but have such amazing rooms and amenities that you won’t even notice! Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort –

We were so lucky to be hosted by the Cambria Hotel on our last trip. Their rooms are super amazing. They have a two queen room that sleeps 4 all the way up to a two bedroom King Bunk Bed family suite that sleeps up to 11! Each room has a bathroom with two showers, so you can have up to 4 people showering at once in the family suite. For bigger groups and families it’s a total game changer.
In addition to a free, hot breakfast (that includes MICKEY WAFFLES!) there are 7 restaurants on the property. You also need to make sure that you add a couple extra days to enjoy the 30,000 sq ft waterpark! They show movies at the pool, have water slides and a splash pad area. There is also outdoor space for relaxing, sunbathing, playing basketball or practicing your putting.

We were completely wowed by the Hyatt Regency Orange County! It has two beautiful pool areas, a huge recreation deck with places to roast marshmallows, play games, or relax by the pool. You can choose from a two queen bed room, a two queen suite, or a king bunk bed kids suite. There are a bunch of food options, along with a little arcade for the kids! And it’s less than a mile and a half from Disneyland.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim –

The Delta Hotel is fully renovated and two miles from Disneyland. They have awesome complimentary cabanas at their pool that are first come, first serve. Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Main Gate Area –

Homewood Suites is an all suite hotel that is located only two miles away from Disneyland. One of our favorite things about this hotel is that it not only has a swimming pool and a hot tub, but it also has a wading pool for the little ones to play in! We would suggest booking over a Wednesday because there is a complimentary social each Wednesday evening.

Sheraton Garden Grove Anaheim South –

This Sheraton hotel is wonderful for families or couples. It’s located just two miles away from the parks and each person in your room gets a free shuttle to Disneyland each day. Embassy Suites Hotel Anaheim South –

Embassy Suites is located just a mile from Disneyland and has a really fun safari theme with an animatronic lion that kids will love! The glass elevators that face out to the center atrium is really cool too! They have king and double suites that both have pull out couches and a microwave and fridge. You’ll also get to enjoy a free breakfast with made to order omelets, and a manager’s reception with snacks and drinks.

Anaheim Resort Transit System (ART)
Most of these hotels are on the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) shuttle routes and you can get to and from the hotels to Disneyland Resort or Knott’s Berry Farm. We love Disneyland, but we were super excited to visit Knott’s Berry Farm on our last visit. Their roller coasters are no joke and we had a blast! Knott’s Berry Farm
Knott’s Berry Farm has four different themed areas; The Boardwalk, Fiesta Village (opening 2023), Camp Snoopy, and Ghost Town. Each area has rides for the whole family. Knott’s has 11 thrill rides, 14 family rides, and 12 kid rides. During the summer, you can visit Knott’s Soak City Water Park to beat the heat!
Right outside the Knott’s Berry Farm entrance is the California Market Place with 15 different shops and restaurants. You have to try Mrs. Knott’s World Famous Chicken!
Knott’s Berry Farm Seasons of Fun
During the year, Knott’s Berry Farm celebrates different seasons of fun throughout the park. In the spring, you guests can enjoy Peanuts’ Celebration and Knott’s Boysenberry Festival. In the summer, guests can be enchanted by Ghost Town Alive! and Knott’s Summer Nights.
If you are visiting Knott’s Berry Farm Thursdays – Sundays, September 29 – October 31, 2022, you can enjoy Knott’s Spooky Farm! This is a daytime event that is included with your normal ticket. It has family-friendly activities like trick-or-treating, themed decor and spooky surprises from the friendly townsfolk.
Knott’s Scary Farm
Do you love to be scared? Then you have to check out Knott’s Scary Farm from September 22 – October 31, 2022. Knott’s Scary Farm is the largest Halloween experience in Southern California. The fully transformed theme park features haunted mazes and attractions, shows and monsters lurking around every corner. This is a special ticketed event.
Knott’s Merry Farm
Knott’s Berry Farm celebrates the winter holidays with “Knott’s Merry Farm.” From November 18, 2022 – January 1, 2023, you can enjoy holiday decor, activities for the family and joyful entertainment.
