Yep! It happened, I was totally on Studio 5 with Brooke Walker!
Remember that little post I made a few years ago. This one here… Well that little project has been repinned over six hundred thousand times! Insanity I tell ya!
Well, we took that little project to Studio 5 and had a great time creating a bunch of other ways to dress up a light switch plate.
^ This is me with the display all set up. ^
(I had no idea my sweater would match the backdrop…lucky right?!)
^This is me…talking to Brooke Walker…on TV.^ It was so awesome!
Now, there is a little bummer to all of this. My segment was suppose to air on August 1st but guess what…I was preempted by the president – I’m telling you that is just the kind of luck I have. For now you can watch the video of my segment here on the blog or here on the Studio 5 site. If you’re local and are interested in seeing the whole episode (I hope you’ll watch) it will air again at 1:00pm on August 15th.
I am really excited about the different switch plate options we came up with and I hope you’ll indulge me over the next few weeks as I show you how we did some of the different ones.
If you’d like to get started now however you can find the full tutorial on my original post here.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the new ones I made.
The possibilities are quite literally endless! A big thanks to Studio 5 for letting me come on the show and share this fun project with their viewers.
*to answer a couple questions*
1. Fabrics I used for the fabric covered switch plate is by Riley Blake.
2. My fabulous skirt is from Agnes and Dora.
3. Sweater is from DownEast.
4. WashiTape is from Pick Your Plum
