Neapolitan Cupcakes in a Jar

We had a super fun party on Friday night and for a sweet treat I made some Cupcakes in a Jar. I thought it would be fun to do a “Neapolitan” style. These are SO easy to do and make a great take home gift if people aren’t ready to have their dessert by the time they head home. 🙂

I made these using wide mouth, half pint jars. They were the perfect size to fit a standard size cupcake. You will also need lids and rings to fit your jar. You can use any combination of cupcakes and frostings…whatever you think will taste best! 🙂

You can also layer them any way you’d like. I layered cupcake, frosting, cupcake frosting. Feel free to cut the cupcakes in half to have more layers for a different look. These also look super cute by adding sprinkles, candies, nuts, etc in between the layers.

Make sure your cupcakes are totally cooled before you put them in the jar…you don’t want them getting soggy. We just tied a fork and napkin on them with some cute baker’s twine and done! Also since they are closed up, if they don’t get eaten for a day or two, they are still soft and delicious! Enjoy!
