Christmas is just a couple of weeks away, so that means the New Year is right around the corner. With every New Year comes new resolutions for how to make your upcoming year the best one yet. I’ll come right out and say that I’m TERRIBLE with making New Year’s resolutions. Like most people I have the grand intentions but not enough follow through! However having two babies nearly back to back has given me a decent amount of motivation to work off the baby weight. One thing I know that I need to do is cut WAY back on my soda intake. I love carbonation. The fizzyness is the best. I think that’s what I’m addicted to way more than caffeine is the fizz. That’s why I’m SO excited to have the SodaStream Power Automatic Sparkling Water Maker!
Since getting the SodaStream Power, my family has been on a sparkling water kick. Even my kids are loving the different, delicious flavors. They are naturally flavored and colored which is great. We’ve gotten to try the Sparkling Gourmet Blackcurrant Lime and Coriander Apple Blossom, the Fruit Mixed Berry, and the zero calorie Cranberry Raspberry. But I have to say my favorite feature is the one touch activation. You can select from three different fizz levels! Of course I want it as fizzy as possible.
With all the flavors we’ve gotten to try, I thought it would be great to create a fun, holiday drink that our whole family can enjoy.
Non Alcoholic Orange Cranberry Holiday Sangria
4 cups Cranberry Raspberry SodaStream Sparkling Water
2 cup cranberry apple sparkling cider
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 orange, sliced
1/2 cup frozen cranberries
In a small sauce pan, heat orange juice over medium heat with ground cinnamon. Once cinnamon is well combined with the orange juice, remove from heat and let cool. Make your Cranberry Raspberry SodaStream sparkling water.
Put orange slices in a pitcher. Next add your sparkling water, sparkling cider, and orange juice to the pitcher and stir lightly to combine flavors. Refrigerate for 1 – 2 hours, until cold. Add frozen cranberries, stir lightly and serve. Feel free to add orange slices and cranberries to each glass for a garnish. I also mixed a little bit of orange zest with granulated sugar and dipped the rim of my glasses in the mixture for a fun twist. This has a delicious, light flavor. I love that the cinnamon brings out the orange and cranberry flavors so much.
