Yesterday I showed you the cute strawberries I made for my card for this month’s card swap. I was so excited when we decided to include bags, tags, boxes, and more to our monthly card swap. I had many ideas and then my sweet friend Natalie posted on facebook that she had some extra fruit baskets she needed to get out of her house.
I was so happy that I was able to get in on the extras before they were all sold. At only $0.19 each I snatched up quite a few. You can find them here and it looks like they’re on sale, only $0.11 each. However you do have to buy 250 of them but she was able to unload the extras very quickly.
So, I took my cute little strawberries (only cost me the price of the paper and thankfully I had it on hand) and these cute little baskets and put together something that my friends could use as a little gift.
I had a roll of clear cellophane that I picked up at the dollar store and cut it into 2’x2′ squares.
I put 5 of the little strawberries inside the basket and then wrapped the cellophane up around the basket.
I used my cute red and white bakers twine to tie it up.
I found this adorable tag (free printable) over at eighteen25 and decided it would be foolish to try to come up with something when this was already so cute. I printed out 12 of them, cut them out and used my hole punch to put a little hole up in the corner and tied it onto the basket.
When I handed them out to all of my friends I showed them how the strawberry opens up so they can add little treats into them if they want to. There is plenty of room inside the basket to add more treats (think soaps, lotions, nail polishes, etc…) and I am thinking it would even be cute to tie one of the strawberries next to the tag on the outside off the package as well.
I look forward to showing you all of the cards that were made for card swap this month. They’re adorable, I know you’ll love them. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see them all!

the reason I charged 19 cents was because of the shipping cost. THe shipping alone was 17.00 and I did not want to eat that charge. They turned out darling. love them!! …Natalie
