Peppermint White Chocolate Popcorn Recipe

Peppermint White Chocolate Popcorn - housewivesofriverton.comHello friends!
Are you ready for what may be my favorite candy cane recipe yet?  Peppermint White Chocolate Popcorn is officially my favorite treat now.  I was absolutely blown away and crazily excited with how this came together.  I don’t typically love white chocolate but the combination of white chocolate, peppermint, and popcorn is absolutely perfect.
candy cane chocolate cookieCreating this deliciously perfect treat is so simple you’re going to love me.  You only need 3 ingredients.  I prefer to use an air popper, if you don’t have one you can use approx. 2 bags of microwave popcorn.

recipe by Housewives of Riverton
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
(unpopped)
1/2 bag white chocolate chips
(melted)
1/2 cup crushed candy canes
(I put them in the blender and it worked perfectly)
Directions
Pop 1/2 cup popcorn kernels into large bowl.  Melt white chocolate chips and drizzle over popped popcorn.  Using a wooden spoon stir popcorn/white chocolate mixture until popcorn is well coated.  Sprinkle crushed candy cane over white chocolate popcorn and stir until mixed well.
Let cool and put in little baggies (or eat by the bowl full).
Peppermint White Chocolate PopcornNot only is Peppermint White Chocolate Popcorn delicious it’s also so cute to give as gifts.  This will be wrapped up as one of our Valentine treats for preschool friends.  Great news about this popcorn, if stored in an air tight container it tastes great for up to at least 4 days (I know this because I hid a bag to enjoy later and forgot about it – my guess is it would be good a couple days longer if needed!).

Enjoy this popcorn, I know you’ll love it!
