When we were planning our Thanksgiving menu, I saw these cute, Pumpkin rolls and knew that I had to do them for our dinner. They are super simple to do, and are just adorable! It’s even something you can get your kids to help with. That’s how easy they are!
For these rolls you can use your own tried and true roll recipe, or you can just use a frozen roll. We were making so many other recipes, that even though we love our homemade rolls, we wanted to spare ourselves some time and went with some frozen ones. We purchased the rolls that you rise and then bake.
After you let the rolls thaw, flatten them out slightly and then using a knife or kitchen shears cut slices in the roll almost to the center.
Next you will make an indent in the center of the roll, and then let rise. Don’t let your rolls over rise or they will just look like weird blobs. Once your rolls have risen, use a pecan or walnut sliver and push down lightly into the center indent. This will make your cute pumpkin stem. Just before you place in the oven, brush with an egg white/water mixture. This will give it a nice, shiny, golden brown top. Bake your rolls according to the directions on the package, let cool and serve.
I hope you enjoy these cute Pumpkin Rolls as much as we did!
