My oldest son is currently in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina enjoying the fun, sun, and beach! Needless to say, those of us left behind here are just a touch jealous of him. 🙂 I decided to make a special “tropical” drink for the little ones still here to help them have a little bit of tropical fun in Utah! I decided to make them a yummy Strawberry Daiquiri Smoothie!
We love smoothies and tropical type drinks! We had a Daiquiris and Donuts morning when I made this yummy smoothie “mocktail”. We all loved it and enjoyed a special, little breakfast on the deck while we enjoyed our new concoction!
Strawberry Daiquiri Smoothie
2 cups of strawberry daiquiri mixer
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cups of ice (I prefer deli ice)
2 tablespoons cream of coconut (not coconut milk)
Strawberries and whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Add all ingredients in your blender in the order listed. I found that it blends best that way. Blend until smooth. Pour into your glasses ( you can use fun margarita glasses to make it more fancy) and garnish with a strawberry and whipped cream. Adding a few cupcake sprinkles would be another great way to make it fun and festive! Serves 4-6 Enjoy!
