I’ve been working on creating a *one of a kind* spring/summer wardrobe for my 2 year old little monkey. I have always loved having things that even if they weren’t one of a kind were maybe not just easily found. I decided this year I would collect a few favorite pieces that I’d allow myself to buy but outside of that I really want to make as much of her wardrobe as I can. I’ve got a few pieces put together already and this one is already a favorite, I can’t wait for it to warm up enough for her to actually wear it longer than just to try on.
I went back and forth with the yellow chevron. I wasn’t sure if I wanted it as a top or as bottoms but then I remembered I had this Hopscotch Top Pattern and knew that was what I was going to do. I decided to just do the chevron and not add the solid part down the middle of the top. I also decided to use snaps on the back instead of buttons. I also only used 3 snaps so the bottom of the back is has a little bit of *swing* to it.
The bottoms are my favorite ever pattern. The Ruffled Capris and Pants Pattern comes in sizes 1-8 and has a lot of options for the number of ruffles. For these denim capris I just did one big ruffle, I love them.
When I had them all done I just had to have the little Goose try it on. I am incredibly happy with the fit of both the top and the bottoms. I can’t wait to make the top with a few other changes, I love when a single pattern gives so many different options don’t you?
Here’s a quick look at a couple of the other outfits I’ve made this season:
I can’t wait to make up some more outfits. My mom is coming into town for a couple weeks IN a couple weeks and I am really hoping she’ll teach me the ins and outs of my embroidery machine, I am so excited!!!
Busy busy day today, soccer games, dance class, and a baby shower all at the same time. Gotta love this busy time of year with all the kids going different directions.
Have a WONDERFUL Thursday, only one more day until the WEEKEND!!!
