As of October 11th, 2022 it’s going to cost you more per ticket to visit Disneyland and California Adventure. Disneyland Resort increased their park ticket prices, Genie+ prices, and some parking prices. We’ll break down all the changes and what this price increase will mean for your upcoming Disneyland trip.

Disneyland Ticket Price Increase 2022

It can be overwhelming trying to book a trip to Disney parks. That can get even more frustrating when you hear that base ticket prices have increased. Here is a breakdown of the ticket price increase, these are based on adult ticket prices:

Single-Day, one park per day theme park tickets –

• Tier 0 (New tier) – $ 104
• Tier 1 – $114
• Tier 2 – $129
• Tier 3 – $144
• Tier 4 – $159
• Tier 5 – $169
• Tier 6 – $179 This is a $15 increase over the previous highest tier 2022 price

Multi-Day Tickets –

• 2 Day/ 1 park per day – $285 – $30 increase
• 3 Day/ 1 park per day – $360 – $30 increase
• 4 Day/ 1 park per day – $395 – $35 increase
• 5 Day/ 1 park per day – $415 – $35 increase

*You can add multi-day park hopper tickets for $60. This is the same as last year.

Genie+ Price Increase –

Effective immediately Genie+ will be $25 this is a $5 increase if you purchase in advance.

If you decide to purchase the day of your trip Genie+ will go to on-demand-based pricing and will start at $25 per day for the least-demand days and go up from there for more high-demand days. As a little bit of a perk for the price increase, WEB SLINGERS: A Spiderman Adventure will be added to the regular Genie+. There will only be one individual Lightning Lane in each park now. Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure and Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland Park.

Why Did They Raise The Genie+ Prices?

We aren’t super surprised about the Genie+ price increase. It was considered by many to be too low of a price point, so a lot of people were utilizing the option. That made Lightning Lane and Stand By lines even longer, this might help remedy that.

Disneyland Parking prices have increased –

Good news! Prices for Disneyland general parking rates will stay the same price, as there was just a recent price increase on that. Check out the current parking price range.

• General Parking – $30 – no price increase
• Preferred Parking – $50 – $ 5 price increase
• Hotel Valet Parking – $65 – $ 15 price increase

Disney World Ticket Price Increases –

There has been no word yet if the Walt Disney Company will also increase in price Disney World ticket prices, but if you are going to plan a vacation there, you are probably going to want to get your tickets booked soon. Genie+ for Disney World has price changes a little different than Disneyland. Genie+ can’t be purchased in advance at Disney World, but moving it to be variably priced based will keep the lowest day price at $15 but will fluctuate depending on demand and crowd levels.

Disney 100 Years of Wonder 2023 –

It’s not surprising that ticket prices have gone up right after the announcement of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration coming in 2023. At Disneyland we will be seeing the reopening of Toon Town, the opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the return of the Magic Happens parade, and fun platinum layovers all over the park, including Sleeping Beauty Castle. The Get Away Today prices are good for travel through January 12th, 2024 as long as they are paid for in full by October 20th, 2022.

How Soon Do I Need to Book to Save?

If you are planning on visiting the parks you are going to want to plan your visit sooner than later and keep the Disneyland ticket price increase in mind. How much will I save by booking by October 20?

That will depend on the type and length of the tickets you choose. 2-Day tickets are a $32/ticket savings, 3-Day tickets are a $35/ticket savings, 4-Day tickets are a $40/ticket savings, while 5-Day tickets are a $55/ticket savings. With Disney Genie+ included, you can save up to $90 per ticket!

How long are they valid?

Our DISNEYLAND® tickets are valid for travel now – Jan. 12, 2024.

Do I have to know my travel dates?

If you don’t know when you’re going, you’ll just need to enter a general date to purchase your tickets. That will be the date that Get Away Today sends your reminders to make theme park reservations as early as 120 days prior to travel. Dates are flexible and can be rescheduled.

Can I put these on a Layaway Plan?

Because tickets must be paid in full by October 20, Layaway Plans are temporarily unavailable.

What if I’ve already purchased Disneyland Resort tickets?

If you’ve already purchased your tickets and paid in full, you already have the lowest price so the Disneyland ticket price increase won’t affect you!

Can I upgrade my tickets to include more days or Disney Genie+?

You can add more park days or include Disney Genie+ by calling us at 855-GET-AWAY. You will need to make new theme park reservations if you choose to upgrade your tickets, so you’ll want to check Disneyland’s reservation calendar to before upgrading your tickets.

What if I have an active Layaway Plan?

In order to keep your current ticket prices, your Layaway Plan must be paid off in its entirety by Oct. 20, 2022. If you don’t contact us by Oct. 20, 2022 to pay off your Layaway Plan, we’ll keep everything in your package as is and your price will automatically reflect the new pricing – no need to call.

What if I need to cancel?
