I started with 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breast and 1 small one.
Combine 3/4 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of salt, 3/4 tablespoon of pepper and 2 teaspoons of granulated garlic in a pie pan or wide, shallow bowl.
In another wide, shallow bowl combine two eggs with 3 tablespoons of water. Whisk together until blended.
In the last wide, shallow bowl put 1 to 1 1/2 cups of fine, plain bread crumbs.
Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures of this process, but cover each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then cover it in the egg mixture and last, coat it in the bread crumbs. Then place the chicken breasts on a cookie sheet or baking stone. Bake at 375° for 20 – 35 minutes depending on the thickness of your chicken. Mine took about 35 minutes.
Your chicken will look similar to this when done. ๐ I use a meat thermometer to check the internal temp to make sure it’s done.
Next you are going to add deli slices of ham on top of the chicken.
I did two for the larger pieces and one for the smaller one. Next add a large slice of swiss cheese to each one.
I just used prepackaged, sliced deli swiss. Bake for another 5-6 minutes at 350°F until the cheese is melted.
Take it out of the oven and let it sit for just a minute. I served it with roasted baby red potatoes and steamed broccoli and carrots. ๐
While I was snapping pictures Mr. H was yelling “Cheese Mom! Cheese!!!”
So you get to see his slightly crazy looking “cheese” smile! ๐
It was SOOOO good! I guess at Sizzler they serve it with a mayo and mustard dipping sauce, I thought it tasted great without it, but we might try that next time! ๐ Enjoy!
