Today we have Part 3 of our New Year’s Eve Party posts. I’ve been having so much fun dreaming of the perfect party I can’t wait to start planning (in advance for a change) my next New Year’s Eve Party.
First off – if you’re here looking for our weekly Housewives of Riverton Round-Up party please click here to be taken to our SUPER-SIZED Round-Up. Next week we’ll be back to our normal schedule and we’re so excited to be featuring even more of you throughout the next week!
You know what is hard about a New Year’s Eve Party? Activities! At least they are around here. We range in age from 38 to 4. While Nate and I are pretty cool doing whatever the masses want to do trying to find something entertaining for a 16, 14, and 12 year old that also entertains 4, 6, and 8 year olds is not very easy. This year the 16 year old will be off with friends but we’ll have 4 girls 12-14 here (along with two 10 year olds who will I am sure also want to be hanging with the older girls) and since I think ringing in the new year is a pretty big deal I want to find something that will be fun for them to do…right now I’ve got nothing specific for them but I won’t give up. I’ll pin the 14 year old down in the morning to see what she thinks will be “cool/fun” because I think the others will easily follow her lead.
I did find a whole bunch of fun ideas while browsing pinterest. There are things here that would entertain I think every age group, so read on and enjoy!
The very 1st thing I though of was a fun Photobooth. Here are a few ideas to help you pull it off.

I love the idea of a specific hashtag for your event – make sure you let everyone know what it is!

And how cute is this idea? Photobooth New Year’s Resolution!
(source) I love the backdrop too!
After looking again at the cute photobooth stuff I’m thinking we may not need any other activities… But just in case we do here are a few more (some especially for the younger crowd)
I am pretty big on documenting things so I love these next few ideas
I don’t know about your house but Bingo is a game everyone loves to play around here.

Or how about a scavenger hunt?

I love Minute to Win It games. They always make me laugh watching people try so hard to beat the clock (or other team)

These cute coloring pages and activities are sure to keep little hands busy.

This is a pretty perfect way to end a party for children and adults alike (I need a bigger room!)

This last one isn’t really anything to do at a New Year’s Eve Party except maybe to snap your first family (or couple) photo of the year to put on your Time Capsule. I love the idea of a place to drop those little reminders (ticket stubs/receipts/etc…) from fun events throughout the year, or even a note to remember something that happened on a specific date. I am going to do this this year for sure.

Hop in front of that photobooth and snap a family photo right after the clock strikes midnight and then at your 2015 New Year’s Eve Party you can snap one more photo to finish out your year!
And just so you don’t think I forgot the oldies but goodies. Board games and Card games are always what we end up doing on New Year’s Eve – we love the card game May I? and the kids are always wanting to play dominoes or monopoly. I do remember one year spending way too many hours (I think I was like 16) with a group of us putting together a Where’s Waldo puzzle, it was crazy but we got it done and it ended up being a blast figuring that out together with friends.
I hope you have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve and that 2015 is the best year yet!
