My kids LOVE getting to do crafts. And while I love doing crafts with them, sometimes it can be extra time consuming and makes me a little crazy. I try to pick easy, fun crafts that keep their attention and don’t require too much help from me. So I was SUPER excited when we received these awesome Christmas crafts from Oriental Trading Company! Because they were “peel and stick” crafts, the kids were able to do them on their own (the little ones with some extra help from the adults) and we didn’t have the mess of glue, markers and glitter!
The first craft we did was the DIY Foam Gingerbread House Placemats. The kids (and Josh :-)) had such a fun time doing these! It came with so many great pieces to decorate with so that each of the kids’ placemats was completely original to them.
It was also awesome that the peel and stick pieces required very little help from the adults. Some of the 2 and 3 year olds needed a little help getting the paper off the back of the pieces…but other than that, it was pretty much an easy project for them.
Josh “helping” H do his placemat and the table of the kids working on their project! Like I said, there were SOOOO many pieces that there wasn’t any fighting over who got what. ๐
Here are all the finished projects! Don’t they look so great?! I love how much fun the kids (and Josh) had making them!
The next craft we did was the Smile Face Snowman Photo Frames. I loved that these each came individually packed with all the pieces for each frame. We popped out all the foam pieces and kept them together and set up a spot for each child. They were able to just peel and stick their snowmen and snowflakes on in the places they wanted. There is a picture of how it “could” look and some of the kids followed that, but most of them did their own thing, traded pieces and had a blast!
All the kids working so hard! They had so much fun!
All the finished frames! ๐ We gave the backs to the parents to attach after they had a picture to put in there. This is a great and quick craft for kids of all ages! I would highly recommend it for a birthday, school or holiday party. It’s such a fun craft!
As I said before I would highly recommend these fun kids crafts! They are perfect for all ages and the mess/clean up is very minimal! (And who doesn’t love next to no mess?!) They are also very affordable so you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank to do something fun.
Thank you so much Oriental Trading for sharing these great crafts with us! I’m so excited that we got to try out these awesome crafts and can’t wait for more upcoming birthdays and parties to get to use more of these great crafts!
