Sometimes you come across a recipe and you just KNOW you have to make it immediately! That is exactly how I felt about Cooking Classy‘s Pumpkin Scone recipe. She calls it a Starbucks copycat recipe, but let me tell you the Starbucks version doesn’t hold a candle to hers. Trust me! We did a side by side taste comparison. 🙂
Pumpkin Scone Recipe
There are days that aren’t so good, and you feel like you need a break from people all together. However, this pumpkin scone recipe will 100% turn your day around and make it better! You can kick back on a Saturday morning, ignore the dishes and the laundry, make a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy one of these little beauties. This batch makes 8, my guess is you will want to double it!
What I changed
I really appreciated how easily these came together and how pretty they turned out. You can find the Cooking Classy recipe HERE. I made a couple changes to her recipe, I added an additional 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of buttermilk, and 1/4 cup of flour. These additions made the dough work better for me. If you have the time, try out both and see which one works the best for you!
Make sure you put these on the list to make for breakfast or brunch this fall. You will impress all your family and friends! Enjoy! Breakfast can sometimes get a little mundane.
