Sea Salt Caramel Brownies Recipe
I love a lazy Sunday dinner at home. We don’t have them incredibly often because we seem to have very full weeks these days but when we do get to have one it’s almost like an event. An event that includes a lovely nap and usually brownies of some sort.
A couple Sunday’s ago was a wonderfully lazy Sunday that involved a nap and these delicious Sea Salt Caramel Brownies.
Now let’s be honest, it’s a Sunday and I don’t want to spend the whole day baking so this recipe is incredibly simple starting with a box of brownie mix.
Sea Salt Caramel Brownies Recipe
1 box Brownie Mix
(or favorite brownie recipe)
Caramel Syrup
Sea Salt
Twix candy bars
(optional)
Preheat oven as per brownie recipe and prepare brownie recipe as per instructions.
Spray pay well with non stick spray.
Pour half the brownie batter into the pan.
If you’re using twix cut into bite size pieces and place on brownie mix so there is a piece in each brownie piece.
If you’re not using candy bar pieces drizzle caramel over batter.
Using a spoon scoop brownie batter onto each piece of candy bar making sure they’re all well covered.
(or pour the rest of batter over the caramel syrup)
Drizzle caramel syrup both directions on top of batter and using a butter knife drag it through the brownie mix.
Sprinkle sea salt all over the top and bake as per brownie directions. I started checking about 7 minutes before they were suppose to be done, they were done a few minutes early.
Because brownies are delicious warm I’ve got a great tip for you. Did you know (oddly) that it’s very easy to cut warm brownies with a plastic butter knife.
Enjoy this delicious recipe, we sure did!
