Sunrise Smoothie

By Creative Housewives 4 Comments

We’ve been drinking a lot of smoothies around here lately!  We LOVE them! 🙂  It’s fun to try out lots of different recipes.  We came to the end of smoothie making ingredients and put together what we had left…this is what we came up with!  And it was DELICIOUS! 🙂

Sunrise Smoothie
1 cup orange juice
3/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1 1/2 cups frozen peaches
1 banana
6-8 baby carrots, sliced in half
Blend until smooth.  If you don’t use frozen peaches, you’ll need to use 4-6 pieces of ice depending on how thick you want it.  Enjoy!

I’ve never done carrots in my smoothie. It blends up okay?

Using the baby carrots and slicing them in half made them blend up really easy. I have a SUPER old blender and our smoothies still came out really smooth…no carrot chunks. 🙂

Mmm I love smoothies so much and this one looks delicious. I too am intrigued by the carrots – but I guess I’ll have to try it!

This looks awesome. You have inspired me to create a Pinterest Smoothies board. Thanks!
