Welcome to our third Recipe Round up! Before we get to that, I’m going to show you a fun thing housewife Jenn found on Pinterest. It’s simple and fun! I call them Super Bowl Strawberries!
Aren’t they cute?!
I started with some strawberries that I rinsed off and dried well. You have to make sure they are completely dry or it will mess up your dipping chocolate. ๐
If you are like me and don’t have a double boiler, just put some water in a pot (about halfway full) and bring it to a boil. Put a bowl over the top, you don’t want the bowl to touch the water. Turn the water down to simmer and put your chocolate in. I used chocolate flavored almond bark because I had it and I think it works amazing for dipping! ๐ Keep stirring while they melt…it will take a bit of time but it’s worth it! The amount of chocolate you melt will depend on how many strawberries you want to dip. I had about 3 lbs of strawberries so I used the whole brick of almond bark.
Once your chocolate is nice and smooth, take a strawberry and dip! You may have to turn it a little to make sure it gets coated well.
After you have it coated, let some of the extra drip off before you put it on your wax paper to dry. (Another great thing about almond bark is that it doesn’t take very much time or any refrigeration to harden.)
Don’t they look yummy?!
Now in the microwave, I melted a couple squares of vanilla almond bark and put it in a pastry bag to pipe the football laces.
The almond bark worked really well but if you wanted to you could use just regular white frosting.
And here is your finished product! They were super yummy and went FAST! Enjoy!
