Fall is a great time to serve chili for dinner. I love this recipe because it is so easy and yummy and most all of the ingredients are common and in your cupboard. This chili is one of my “go to” dinners because all you really have to do is turn on the crockpot, dump everything in and on a busy, hectic day you can still serve your family an awesome meal. It makes your house smell amazing.
These are the ingredients you will need:
1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
2 (14 oz) cans chicken broth
2 (7oz) cans diced green chilies
1/2 can diced jalapenos (optional and amount added is determined by how much heat you like)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg taco seasoning
Dump into slow cooker on high for 4-5 hours
Low 6-8 hours
after it has cooked the allotted time pull out the chicken, shred it and put it back into the juice.
1/2 hour before serving add:
1 can drained and rinsed black beans
1 can corn drained
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 cups crushed up doritos
stir together and serve.
The sour cream, cheese, and doritos meld together and create a smooth, cream, full of flavor chili. Top with sour cream, green onions and crushed doritos if desired.

My husband would go nuts for this! Thanks for the yummy recipe!
Your welcome, you will love it!
I so want to make this now!
Let me know what you think, I’m excited to hear.
This sounds really good! I love the addition of doritos! My kids love those chips.
The doritos really make it creamy. I really thought it would add a crunch but they blend right in and add a great flavor. Hope your family likes it.

Hi just wondering if this could be made without a crockpot?
Hi Liz, I’m really not sure how to do it without a crockpot? This recipe works because it cooks all day to achieve the tender chicken and the creamy consistency. Good question though you really got me thinking. Thanks for asking.
