It seems like mornings are always crazy at our house. Some mornings go a little smoother than others. Some mornings we’re lucky if we can grab the nearest food item before running out the door. Everyone is needing something and trying to get somewhere so I’m always on the look out for kid friendly breakfast ideas. My kids are pretty easy to please when it comes to breakfast. They love everything from cold cereal, to pancakes, to oatmeal. I always have bananas on hand and now I’ve made this delicious recipe for Kid Friendly No Bake Energy Bites! If we are in a rush, the kids grab a banana and a couple of these delicious bites and they are set! The best part? I can put my kids 100% in charge of making them! Seriously, they are so incredibly easy with just a few ingredients that you can’t go wrong.
There are so many ways to get your kids ready for the day to make sure they are set with energy and ready to learn. One of the great ways to do that is to make Nesquik part of your children’s breakfast. Don’t let hunger get the best of them while they are busy at school, start them off on the right foot with the right food!
Kid Friendly No Bake Energy Bites
1 cup oats
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
6 tablespoons Nestle Nesquik Chocolate Powder
3 tablespoons milled flaxseed
Directions:
Combined all ingredients in a medium bowl until well mixed. Roll into 12-14 equal size balls. Set on wax paper in an air tight container and refrigerate until it’s time to eat!
Now I don’t know about you, but getting my kids in the kitchen with me is so much fun! My kids are constantly begging for me to let them help cook. While my oldest can use the stove and oven safely, my younger ones still need more supervision. I love that this recipe, all I need to do is help them measure out ingredients and they can do all the rest! My kids have so much fun rolling these into little balls, it’s just hard to keep them from eating them all! You can also customize these to jazz them up! Feel free to add toasted coconut, chocolate chips, dried blueberries, or chopped peanuts! Make different versions to keep your kids coming back for more!
