So something about me that I’m sure that you’ve caught on to by now is how much I LOVE stuff to be easy. I love to make yummy meals, but I hate spending hours and hours on them. One thing that makes my mornings go easier is premaking breakfasts. In our house we love smoothies. I posted before about the Fruit and Kale Smoothie I made for my family. This is a slight variation on that. And I love that I can buy all the ingredients and separate them into small freezer bags so they are ready to just throw in the blender with some yogurt and juice!
Fruit and Yogurt Smoothies
1/2 banana
2 strawberries
5 peach slices
6 oz of yogurt (I use vanilla or strawberry)
2/3 cup apple juice (or juice of your choice)
1/2 cup fresh spinach
6-8 ice cubes if not using frozen fruit
The first 3 ingredients are what I slice and put into bags for the freezer.
Place all ingredients into your blender and blend on medium high until smooth. This makes a medium consistency, if you want a thicker smoothie, add more ice. If you would like a thinner smoothie, use all fresh, unfrozen ingredients. Don’t worry if you normally don’t like spinach, it really doesn’t change the flavor of the smoothie at all…other than the green color, you won’t even know it’s there! 🙂 Enjoy!
