If you’ve been to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, or Disney Springs you know all about the pineapple Dole whip and the Dole whip float. Did you know they also do different flavors? They do different dole whip flavors like lemon Dole whip, lime Dole whip, and this strawberry Dole whip recipe. The best part is now you don’t have to go to a theme park to get this strawberry version.
It’s been hot here in Utah and when we have a hot day all I want is something cold and sweet and ice cream always seems to hit the spot! I’ve been on the hunt for different cold treats that I can make that have fewer calories than ice cream. If you’ve been to the Disney parks you are probably familiar with the pineapple Dole whip. If you are not, you need to make sure to get one next time you are there. It’s a classic treat from the Happiest Place on Earth that has sweet fruit flavor made from pineapple juice and Dole soft serve mix. They are amazing! We made our own strawberry Dole whip that is just as delicious as the pineapple version. They are so smooth and creamy and full of flavor. It’s the perfect treat to cool you off on a hot summer day!
Strawberry Dole Whip Ingredients:
4 cups frozen strawberries (sliced)
1 Tbs. lemon juice
2-3 Tbs. sugar (can use other sweeteners)
1/2 cup milk (could use almond milk also)
pinch of salt
This recipe is so quick and easy, you’ll love how easy it is!!Put the frozen berries and all the other ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix.
Blend until creamy and smooth. If there is extra of your dole whip strawberry flavor sweet treat, you can cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge to enjoy in the next couple of hours. Or you can put it in a ziploc plastic bag and put it in the freezer to enjoy the next time you want some.
Strawberries are all around the grocery stores and Farmers Markets right now. I bought some the other day and sliced them up and divided them into freezer bags and stuck them in the freezer. When my kids are hot and want something cold and sweet they can grab a bag of frozen strawberries and make one. If you are looking for a delicious and healthy treat that’s refreshing and not too sweet this Strawberry Dole Whip is the perfect thing to whip up on a hot summer day. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
How I wouldn’t exactly list this under healthy treats, but it is a refreshing treat that has the right amount of sweetness, and the good news is. you don’t have to stand in a long line at the Magic Kingdom just to get one!
