What is a Strawberry Dole Whip? If you’ve been to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, or Disney Springs you know all about the pineapple Dole whip and the Dole whip float. But did you know they also make different flavors?
They do different dole whip flavors like lemon Dole whip, lime Dole whip, and this strawberry Dole whip at different times of the year.
The best part is now you don’t have to go to a theme park to get this strawberry version.
How to Make Strawberry Dole Whip
It’s been hot here in Utah and when we have a hot day all I want is something cold and sweet. Ice cream always seems to hit the spot but when it’s this hot dairy can even be too much.
I’ve been on the hunt for refreshing treats with less dairy and came up a Strawberry Dole Whip recipe that worked with ingredients I had on hand.
What is a Dole Whip?
A Dole Whip is a classic treat from the Happiest Place on Earth. It has a sweet fruit flavor made from pineapple juice and Dole soft serve mix. If you haven’t had one you’re missing out, they are amazing!
Strawberry Dole Whip Ingredients
I made our own Strawberry Dole Whip that is just as delicious as the pineapple version. It’s so smooth and creamy and full of flavor. It’s the perfect treat to cool you off on a hot summer day!
- 4 cups frozen strawberries (sliced)
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- 2-3 Tbs. sugar (can use other sweeteners)
- 1/2 cup milk (could use almond milk also)
- pinch of salt
This recipe is so quick and easy, you’ll love how easy it is!!
Blending Instructions
Put the frozen berries and all the other ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix.
Looking for a blender that blends beautifully and won’t break the bank? We love the NutriBullet blender. It’s less than half the price of some other blenders and blends frozen fruits and smoothies perfectly.
If you’re finding it hard to blend add a little extra liquid. Don’t go overboard or it can alter the taste, just add a little at a time until it blends.
Continue to blend until the whole thing is creamy and smooth.
If there is extra of your Strawberry Dole Whip I’m going to assume you don’t have children at home. Cover an extra with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge to enjoy in the next couple of hours.
You could also put it in a ziploc freezer bag and put it in the freezer to enjoy the next time you one. You will likely need to quickly put it in the blender again and blend until smooth, not frozen solid.
Tips for Making a Dole Whip
One of my favorite things to do is to stock up on my families favorite fruits while they’re on sale. Fruits, berries especially freeze really well.
We all love the Strawberry Dole Whip so much I bought a bunch of strawberries when they were on sale and sliced them up and put them in individual bags so any time we want one we can grab a bag and get mixing.
If you are looking for a delicious and refreshing treat that’s not too sweet this Strawberry Dole Whip is the perfect thing to whip up on a hot summer day. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
